We are deeply grateful to Professor Shen for composing Ode to Stringless Guqin House below. Words cannot express the depth of our appreciation. Professor Shen’s writing resonates like the pure tones of antiquity, allowing the melody of the guqin to grow ever clearer across the vast river of time and space.
In blending guqin artistry with Zen philosophy, this piece profoundly moved me, reminding me how rare it is and privileged I am to find a true kindred spirit. We thank Professor Shen for using his words to promote the guqin, allowing this refined Eastern charm to transcend mountains and seas.
May we continue to walk this path together, composing new melodies hand in hand, so that the culture of the guqin may endure endlessly—like the ever-present moon, with the spirit of the guqin forever in our hearts.

“無弦居”者,戴安娜湯君月明列治文琴館之號也。安娜少好古琴,笄年讀《文王操》,悟得“眾器之中,琴德最優”之旨,遂與琴結緣。旋隨父母由香港徙居溫哥華,四十餘載,晨興夜寐,遍訪名師,專習古琴。數年出道,為宏達國學,遂招募生徒而教之;弟子風隨景從,教學相長,琴藝精進。門下弟子,雛鳳新聲,出類拔萃,師徒相得,堪比稷下風儀者也。
近汤君親撰《琴道微言》宏著一部,3年前由王健、李盈師英文翻譯成書。書成,蒙惠賜一冊,幷囑作賦。



愚素仰其至誠,嘉其慧心睿智,不辭魯鈍,賦其辭曰:
太古遺音,斫桐為骨,合天地之經緯;龍池含虛,鳳沼藏韻,納陰陽之精魂。弦依徽列,木托雲根。嶽峙而通北斗,齦蟠以定南辰。軫轉璿璣之妙,足立坤儀之尊。湯君月明,治雅樂而入化;冰蠶吐素,凝清響而含貞。潛心梵唄,內修音聲佛事;育化生徒,外弘開悟果證。令行者從聞思修,破迷啟悟;讓惑者悠然向善,尚古通今。撫軫若叩昆侖玉,按徽如探河漢星。此乃道器相生,法自然之妙有也。非匠石之巧工,豈得窺其奧旨?

若乃絲振金聲,泛按遊吟之間;指叩玉振,濁若雷動渟淵。軒轅削嶽,伏羲定徽。嵇氏廣陵未絕,伯喈柯笛猶存。一弦孤鶴唳月,七弦群壑爭鳴。若夫碣石幽蘭,空山泣露;瀟湘水咽,屈子問天;泠泠兮似訴靈均之佩,颯颯兮如聞湘女之怨。玄思入冥,豈獨耳目之娛?大音希聲,直契九域梵心!

昔者伏羲削桐,神農制禮;師曠調鐘,蔡邕焦尾。伯牙志在高山,子期心隨流水。嵇康揮弦廣陵,血濺刑臺;阮籍醉撫酒狂,神遊物外。千載絲桐,豈唯器哉?實乃君子之鏡、烈士之劍、隱者之舟、詩家之淚!真乃琴禪一韻,茶禪一味,香禪一境,清靜平和,無弦音靜者無染也。

至若《普庵》梵唄,振法鐸於塵寰;《酒狂》逸響,寄疏狂於杯盞。廣陵散絕,猶存俠骨崢嶸;胡笳聲咽,長訴離魂輾轉。或叩宮商以明志,或雜羽徵而抒惋。五音紛兮若星河倒瀉,七情湧兮似江海翻瀾。聽者魂搖,奏者神黯,胡笳聲碎,文姬拭劍。此非絲桐通造化之樞機耶?七十二滾拂,瀉長江之浩浩;十三徽外吟,歎逝者之滔滔。指下春秋驟變,弦中河嶽頻移。非獨琴曲,實為史鑒。

方其虛室生白,明燭在抱;焚香默坐,指與心謀。弦外求聲,得陶潛無弦之趣;韻中見性,參達摩面壁之幽。湯君授業,不傳指法而傳心印;生徒悟道,既溯商周複涉美歐。振金聲於陋巷,播韶響於寰球。古調雖自愛,今人亦解謳!

赞曰:琴之為德,中正和平;琴之為用,貫古融今。形雖三尺枯桐,實藏九霄雲錦;曲縱七弦簡素,足納萬象蕭森。無弦居裏,抱器者非獨湯子;天地座中,聽琴者豈唯世人?湯君月明,攝無量義,奏演梵唄;恒常唱念持華嚴,實為鑄魂。調絲成韻,續文明之血脈;七弦列陣,立天地之精神。今撰斯賦,非慕子期辨志,唯期來者聞弦:大雅雖微,不絕如縷;華夏正聲,永在無弦!但使焦桐不燼,必有知音;且看明月東升,再撫瑤琴!

沈家莊,浙江紹興人,出生於湖南洪江。 文學博士,當代詞學家,詩人。 代表專著有《宋詞的文化定位》、《宋詞文化與文學新視野》、《竹窗簃詞學論稿》《王鵬運詞集校箋》(二人合作)等,在《中國社會科學報》《中國戲劇》《文學評論》《文學遺產》《光明日報》等刊物和大學學報發表有影響的學術論文百餘篇,在《詩刊》《環球華報》《世界日報》等國內外文學刊物及網刊發表新舊體詩詞400餘首。 出版詩集《三支翅膀》,他善於用傳統古詩和新詩歌的多種形式寫作,是一位立足於大地而向天空敞開境界寫作的實力派詩人。 現旅居加拿大。 為加拿大中華詩詞學會創會會長、《中國韻文學刊》編委、《文化中國學刊》執行編委,中國詞學研究會學術諮詢委員會委員、加拿大華裔作家協會會員。

Jiazhuang Shen, a native of Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, was born in Hongjiang, Hunan Province, China, and currently resides in Canada. He holds a Doctorate in Literature and is a distinguished contemporary scholar of Ci-poetry, as well as an accomplished poet. His representative scholarly works include The Cultural Positioning of Song Ci-Poetry, New Perspectives on Song Ci-Poetry: Culture and Literature, Draft Essays on Ci-Poetry from Bamboo Window Studio, and Annotated Collection of Wang Pengyun’s Ci-Poetry (co-authored). He has published over 100 influential academic papers in prominent journals and university publications such as Chinese Social Sciences Today, Chinese Theatre, Literary Review, Literary Heritage, and Guangming Daily. Additionally, he has contributed more than 400 poems—both in traditional and modern styles—to literary magazines and online platforms worldwide, including Poetry Magazine, Global Chinese Press, and World Journal. His poetry collection Three Wings has been published, showcasing his skill in blending traditional forms of ancient poetry with modern styles. Rooted in the earth yet open to the vastness of the sky, he is a powerful poet whose work resonates deeply.
Currently living in Canada, Jiazhuang Shen is the founding president of the Canadian Chinese Poetry Association, an editorial board member of Journal of Chinese Rhymed Literature and executive editor of Cultural China Journal, a member of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Chinese Ci-Poetry Research Association, and a member of the Chinese Canadian Writers’ Association.
